Hi, I’m Alex Macias.

 

I believe every business owner deserves to understand their numbers and feel confident about their finances. With a Finance degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and years of experience working with financial records and tax matters, I help business owners stay organized, make informed decisions, and focus on growing their business.

 

I am an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS. During tax season, I work with H&R Block, helping individuals and business owners navigate tax laws, identify opportunities for savings, and stay compliant. This tax expertise allows me to bring a deeper level of insight to my bookkeeping clients throughout the year.

 

I’m also a business owner myself. I own and operate a short-term rental business, so I understand firsthand the challenges entrepreneurs face. Whether it’s keeping up with expenses, managing cash flow, or trying to make sense of financial reports, I know how quickly bookkeeping can become overwhelming when you’re busy running a business.

 

That’s why I started Art Deco Bookkeeping—to provide business owners with accurate financials, organized records, and peace of mind. My goal is to help you spend less time stressing over your books and more time doing what you do best.

 

Outside of work, I’m a wife, a mom to a teenager, and a proud pet parent to a Cavapoo named Toby and a Lionhead bunny named Timothy. When I'm not doing bookkeeping, I enjoy home interior decorating, audiobooks, and traveling. I’m naturally creative, highly organized, and known for being down-to-earth, friendly, and easy to work with. I believe strong client relationships are built on trust, communication, and genuine care.
